Mammotion: goes where it shouldn't, or gets stuck
16 pages. Start with the one that sounds most like yours. Each one opens on what to try first.
Safety first
Some of these are about the mower’s safety features. Before you try anything, read the safety rules from your mower’s manual.
Check these first
- Do this first: common mechanical causes before you blame firmware
A checklist of physical, mechanical, and setup issues that produce symptoms commonly mistaken for firmware bugs. Cheaper and faster to rule out than a rollback, and sometimes the actual fix.
- Tips & fixes that work across models
Find what your mower is doing, then the fixes owners found for it, newest first. Each fix is dated and works on more than one model.

Known issue
YUKA mini: false 'front wheel lifted' and tilt warnings, usually a sticking front wheel
Try first: Turn the mower off, lift the front and push each front wheel up and down by hand. Then compare the left with the right. A wheel that sticks or feels stiff as it slides is the usual cause, even if it spins freely.

Known issue
LUBA 2: slides onto adjacent surfaces when turning on a slope near a boundary
Try first: Define the sloped strip near your boundary as its own mowing zone. Then the mower drives back and forth across the slope, parallel to the boundary, instead of turning on it.

Known issue
LUBA 3 and LUBA 2: the mower steers around leaves and low plants it could mow over
Try first: Rake or blow off heavy leaf cover, branches and other debris before the mower runs. Mammotion's own fall-care post says heavy buildup can interfere with mowing and obstacle detection.

Guide
LUBA mini 2: map a lawn section you can only reach by carrying the mower
Try first: Tap Create Area. When the app asks you to control the mower to the new area, first drive the mower inside the existing mapped area and make a short path leading out of it, towards the new section.

Guide
LUBA: merge two map areas without remapping everything
Try first: In the app, delete one of the two areas. One owner deleted the smaller one.
-
Known issue
LUBA 3 and LUBA mini 2: the app shows the mower as offline away from home or on the dock
Try first: Close the Mammotion app completely on your phone and open it again. Then restart the phone, and make sure the app is the latest version.

Firmware 2.3.30.39: multi-point turning fixed on LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA mini 2 AWD; early owner reports are mixed
Try first: Check the obstacle-avoidance mode in the app before blaming the update. A mower left on Basic drives into things Sensitive avoids, and that explained at least one destructive-behaviour report. Then widen any No-Go Zone that is too small. One owner still hit a bush because of that.

Known issue
LUBA 1 after firmware 1.11.1.11 and 1.11.1.16: slower turns, spinning in place, crossed boundaries
Try first: Check which firmware the mower is on in the app. If it is 1.11.1.11 and 1.11.1.16 is offered, read its notes: owners quote a fix for crossing lawn boundaries and smoother multi-point turns. One owner also suggests a cut height of at least 2 inches (5 cm), so the wheels grip grass rather than soil while turning.

Firmware 1.30.29.20: "multi-point turning" restored after being removed
Try first: Check recent release notes and forum threads before weighing a rollback for a feature that disappeared. 1.30.29.20 restored multi-point turning that an earlier update had removed, and the same thing happened again in 2.3.30.39 on newer hardware.

Known issue
Mowing progress climbs while the mower sits still, and part of the lawn is marked done but never cut
Try first: After a task that finished early or too fast, walk the lawn and look for uncut strips. Check especially around the spot where the mower stopped. Owners report the app marking those areas done when the mower never covered them, and one says the app seems to redraw the mowed line afterwards, so the app map is not proof.

LUBA 2 AWD X: obstacle avoidance too sensitive in channels, blocks passable routes
Try first: Update to the newest firmware the app offers. A forum member's copy of a changelog lists a channel fix in 1.13.4.4405, but that is a LUBA 2 release, and no LUBA 2 AWD X release log from April to May 2025 names it.

Known issue
Error 1201 'Robot is trapped' on open ground after updates: LUBA 2 and LUBA mini AWD LiDAR
Try first: Press STOP on the mower before you touch it. Then look at where it stopped: a hard shadow across the lawn, a dip or a soft patch under a wheel, tall grass or a low branch in front of the sensors.

Known issue
YUKA / LUBA 2 AWD X: mower stops at night claiming the vision module is dirty when it isn't
Try first: Check the lens physically before treating this as the false positive: Mammotion's own troubleshooting will ask the same thing.

Reported injuries during multi-point turns: what is on the record, and what is not
Try first: Do not leave a mower turning or reversing with a child or a pet nearby. Do not count on it to notice what is in the space it backs into: the sensors look forward and around, and the gap both accounts describe is built into how these machines work.

LUBA 2: wheels getting stuck in tall grass and weeds near edges
Try first: Widen the no-go zone around the trampoline, low branches or other tight obstacle. Accept a little more uncut grass at the edge.

Known issue
LUBA 2 AWD X: mower gets stuck / fails to return to dock on recent firmware
Try first: Read your exact firmware version out of the app's device info and write it down. This page cannot name one, so yours is the number that makes it specific.
