This page is Mammotion's own safety rules, in plain words. It follows the LUBA 3 AWD user manual (Original Instructions, Version 1.0, January 2026)1. Other models have their own safety chapter, so read the one for your mower too.

Stop it, and don't use it, when

  • Someone or something enters its path. Stop the robot straight away1.
  • It makes an abnormal sound or shows an alarm. Press STOP straight away1.
  • The STOP button doesn't work. Don't use the robot1.
  • A cable is damaged. Don't touch it until it is unplugged at the wall. A damaged cable should be replaced by authorised service staff1.
  • There is standing water or heavy rain. Don't run it1.

The blades

  • Keep hands and feet away from the blades, and don't reach under or touch the robot while it is on1.
  • Don't lift or move the robot while it is on1.
  • Don't touch the cutting disc until everything has stopped moving1.
  • Don't modify the robot yourself. Mammotion warns it can cause serious injury and may void the warranty1.

People, children and pets

  • Don't let children near the robot or play with it while it runs1.
  • Don't let children use it1.
  • Don't leave it running unattended when pets, children or other people are nearby1.
  • Don't run it where people don't know it is there. In a public area, put up signs around the task area1.

Charger and battery

  • Use only the official charging station and power supply1.
  • Keep the station away from standing water and out of the way of feet1.
  • Keep it at least 60 cm (24 in) from anything that burns1.
  • In the USA and Canada, an outdoor power supply goes in a covered GFCI socket with a weatherproof box1.
  • Don't repair or open the battery. Only authorised service staff should replace it1.

Safety settings in the app

Obstacle detection has three levels. Off turns obstacle detection off altogether, and the manual says to use it only where detection is not needed or gets in the way2. Rain detection sends the robot home when it rains, and wildlife safety slows or stops it at night2.

Reports and recalls

Reported injuries during multi-point turns have their own page, with what regulators have and have not published about Mammotion.

To look for a recall yourself: the EU Safety Gate, the UK product safety alerts and recalls, the US CPSC recalls, or your own country's product safety body.

Who to contact

For a fault, Mammotion's manual sends you to Mammotion customer service1. If something happened that others should know about, tell us too.
