What to do next

Find your model in the table and note the two temperatures: the one for the mower and the one for the charging station.
Applies when: you are putting the mower away for winter.
Worked if: you know how cold it can get before each part has to come indoors.
Method: the winter-storage section of each model's manual
-
Drive the mower off the station, charge it (at least 80% where the manual gives a figure), turn it off, clean it with a damp cloth or soft brush, let it dry the right way up, put anti-corrosion lubricant on the charging pads only, and store it indoors.
Applies when: you have your model's figure.
Worked if: the mower is clean, dry, charged and indoors.
Stop and get help if: you are about to turn the mower over to wash its underside with water — every manual quoted here says not to.
Method: the manuals' Store Robot steps
-
Disconnect the charging station, pull its stakes, clean it and bring it and the power supply indoors. For the RTK station, follow the step that matches your winter and how it is mounted.
Applies when: the mower is stored.
Worked if: the station and RTK station are stored, and you know whether you will need to remap next season.
Method: the manuals' charging-station and RTK-station steps, and Mammotion's help-centre article
-
Refit anything you removed (the bumper and security key on LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA 2 AWD X), reinstall the station and RTK station, and relocate the station and remap the channel in the app where your manual says to.
Applies when: the mowing season starts again.
Worked if: the mower docks, charges and mows its map.

Method: the manuals' next-season notes

If the mower will not charge or dock after storage, work the charging and docking guide.
Applies when: the mower does not charge, dock or power on after winter.
Worked if: charging works again.
Stop and get help if: the guide does not clear it, or a fault code appears — stop and contact Mammotion support.

Every Mammotion manual gives the same basic routine before winter: charge the mower, clean it, keep water out of it, and bring it indoors. What differs is how cold it can get first. The newer manuals bring the mower in at -10 °C (14 °F); the older ones at -20 °C (-4 °F). Use the figure for your own model.

When each part comes indoors
| Model | Mower indoors below | Charging station indoors below | Manual |
|---|---|---|---|
| LUBA 3 AWD | -10 °C (14 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 1 |
| LUBA mini 2 AWD | -10 °C (14 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 2 |
| YUKA mini 2 | -10 °C (14 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 3 |
| YUKA mini | -10 °C (14 °F) in the help centre; -20 °C (-4 °F) in the v4.0 manual | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 4 9 |
| LUBA 2 AWD X | -20 °C (-4 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 5 |
| LUBA mini AWD | -20 °C (-4 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 6 |
| LUBA mini AWD LiDAR | -20 °C (-4 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 7 |
| YUKA | -20 °C (-4 °F) | -20 °C (-4 °F) | 8 |
| LUBA 2 AWD (2024 manual) | No figure: indoors if it snows a lot where you live | No figure | 10 |
For YUKA mini, Mammotion's two documents disagree. Its help-centre article calls -10 °C a "mandatory requirement" for the mower4, while the v4.0 manual gives -20 °C9. The help centre is the stricter of the two; Mammotion has not said which one supersedes the other. Each manual's own step list also ends with the same line, "store the robot indoors", whatever the temperature.
Storing the mower
- Drive it off the charging station and charge it. The LUBA 3 AWD and YUKA mini 2 manuals and the YUKA mini help-centre article say at least 80%1 3 4; the other manuals say fully charged2 5.
- Turn it off.
- Clean it with a damp cloth or soft brush — the housing, wheels, chassis and camera or LiDAR module. You can wash it if you need to, but do not turn the mower upside down to wash the chassis with water, and do not turn it upside down while it dries1 5.
- Put anti-corrosion lubricant on the charging pads only. The manuals say not to put it on any other part, "especially metal contact areas, except for the connectors"1. The YUKA mini 2 manual adds one step: lubricate the front wheels with the lubricant that came in the box3.
- On LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA 2 AWD X, take the bumper off, brush out the connection slot, brush the bumper clean, and remove the security key. Refit both next season1 5.
- Store it indoors.
Storing the charging station
Disconnect the power supply, pull up the stakes, clean the station with a brush and cloth, and bring the station and its power supply indoors1 2. The LUBA 2 AWD X, LUBA mini AWD, LUBA mini AWD LiDAR, YUKA and YUKA mini manuals add what happens next season: once the station is back in place, relocate it in the Mammotion app and remap the channel between the station and the task area5 6 7 8 9.
Storing the RTK reference station
This applies to the models whose manuals include an RTK station: LUBA 3 AWD, LUBA 2 AWD X, LUBA mini AWD, YUKA and YUKA mini. What you do depends on your winter and how the station is mounted, and it decides whether you have to remap.
- Winters above -20 °C (-4 °F): unplug the station, wind its cable around it, tighten the protective cap, and cover it with a plastic bag or cover. Leave it where it is, and you will not need to delete the map or remap next season4 5.
- Below -20 °C, on a ground mount: delete the map in the Mammotion app first, then unplug the station, take it off the mounting pole, remove the antenna, clean it, remove the pole and bring it all indoors. Next season you reinstall it and remap1 4.
- Below -20 °C, on a wall or roof mount: unplug the station, take it off the mount, remove the antenna, clean it and bring it indoors1. Mammotion's help-centre article says that if you reinstall it in the same position next season, you do not need to delete the map and remap4.
Mammotion's July 2026 winter hub gives one figure for every model: store the mower and station indoors if winter temperatures regularly fall below -20 °C (-4 °F)11. That is looser than the -10 °C in the LUBA 3 AWD, LUBA mini 2 AWD and YUKA mini 2 manuals, so where the two differ, use your manual.
Leave the battery in. Mammotion's general winterizing article tells owners to remove detachable batteries and store them separately15. The LUBA 3 AWD manual says to remove the battery only when disposing of the mower, and that removing it at any other time voids the warranty1.
After winter. Two owner reports on this site began after a winter in storage: a charge that stopped at around half, and a 1028 drivetrain error that would not clear. Neither has been shown to be caused by storage.
