Automower keeps stopping on an EPOS lawn: Husqvarna's own checks
An Automower in a wire-free (EPOS) installation needs two things at once: a view of the satellites and a correction signal that turns "a few metres" into "a few centimetres". Husqvarna says that when the mower stops in the lawn, the cause is typically a satellite signal issue or a loss of internet connection1.

What to do next
-
Read the message in the app. 'No correction data available' means the mower is not getting its correction signal from the Husqvarna Cloud, so look at internet coverage. 'No accurate position from satellites' or 'Searching for satellites' means a weak satellite signal at the mower or at the reference station, so look at the sky view.
More about this step
Applies when: the mower stops on the lawn in a wire-free (EPOS) installation.
Worked if: you know whether to work on internet coverage or on the view of the sky.

Restart the mower and wait a few minutes. Husqvarna says short interruptions from weather or surroundings are normal: the mower pauses and resumes by itself once the signal improves.
More about this step
Applies when: the app shows 'No correction data available', or the satellite signal is only briefly weak.
Worked if: the mower carries on by itself, or you know the problem is lasting.

Check that Wi-Fi or mobile coverage reaches the whole lawn. This applies if you use the Husqvarna Cloud (no reference station). You need at least one bar on your phone connected to the mower's Wi-Fi at every spot, at least one bar on the mower's display while you drive it around with appDrive, and at least one bar on the cloud icon in the app. Then, by model, move the router, add a mesh extender, have a dealer add an Automower Connect Kit (mobile), or fit a local reference station.
Stop and get help if
your model is an Aspire R6V, 308V or 312V and you want a reference station or a Connect Kit: a Husqvarna dealer has to fit it.

Applies when: the mower uses the Husqvarna Cloud and stops where coverage is thin.

For 'Searching for satellites', look at the sky above the spot where the mower stops: tall buildings or dense trees (a crown wider than 4 m, about 13 ft, is Husqvarna's example) block it. Then look at the reference station's view if you have one. Husqvarna's options for a bad spot are a stay-out zone or a wire loop with Support by wire (not available for AI-vision models).

Check the stations against Husqvarna's figures. Charging station: 6 m (20 ft) of clear sky in front of it, and an unobstructed sky at the docking point where the mower stops after leaving it. Reference station: a full sky view of at least 135 degrees, at least 2 m (6.5 ft) high, less than 100 m (330 ft) from the mower, with its top above a wall if it is on one, away from metal such as fences.
Stop and get help if
you would have to move a station: that changes the installation, so use the step-by-step guide for your model or ask a Husqvarna dealer, or Husqvarna's Product Assistant.
More about this step
Applies when: the earlier checks found nothing, or the stops are at the station.
Worked if: the stations meet Husqvarna's placement figures, or you know which one does not.

On this page
Everything below is Husqvarna's own wording, from its New Zealand support article1, which shows the date 10/03/2026. We have not tested these steps on a mower. The article notes that model availability differs between markets, so some options may not exist where you live.
For what the EPOS manual says each message means, see the fault and error message reference.
Where the correction signal comes from
- Husqvarna Cloud. The signal arrives over your home Wi-Fi or the mower's built-in mobile connection, depending on the model. Husqvarna says a stable internet connection across the whole work area is essential and that the mower will not operate if it loses internet connection1.
- A local reference station. The station makes the signal itself and sends it straight to the mower, with no internet needed1.
If the app says "No correction data available"
Husqvarna's first step is to restart the mower and wait a few minutes. If the message stays, the Wi-Fi or mobile signal probably does not cover the whole lawn1. The options differ by series:
- Automower NERA 300 series, Aspire R6V, 308V and 312V. These use built-in Wi-Fi. Move the router or add a mesh extender; a dealer can add an Automower Connect Kit so the mower uses the mobile network; or a local reference station removes the need for internet (for the Aspire R6V, 308V and 312V a dealer has to install it)1.
- Automower NERA 400 series. These switch between Wi-Fi and mobile by themselves if one is lost, and Husqvarna says mobile is usually reliable. The Wi-Fi options and the reference station are the same. The 435X AWD NERA has no Wi-Fi, only mobile1.
- A bad patch of lawn. Create stay-out zones, or put a wire loop round it with Support by wire, which is not available for AI-vision models or the 435X AWD NERA1.
How to test coverage. Connect your phone to the mower's Wi-Fi and look for at least one bar everywhere it mows. With appDrive, drive the mower round the lawn and watch for at least one bar on its display. In the Automower Connect app, the cloud icon should show at least one bar once EPOS via the cloud is on. Husqvarna warns that a phone's mobile bars may not match the mower's, because they can use different mobile technologies1.
If the app says "Searching for satellites"
For "No accurate position from satellites" and "Searching for satellites", Husqvarna gives two causes1:
- A weak signal at the mower. It may pass by itself. Look for objects blocking the sky, such as tall buildings or dense trees with a crown wider than 4 m (the article prints the other unit as 13 in; 4 m is about 13 ft). Stay-out zones or a wire loop with Support by wire (specific models) keep the mower out of the weak spot.
- A weak signal at the reference station. Check the station has a clear view of the sky and is installed correctly.
Where Husqvarna says to put the stations
Husqvarna's figures, for both installation types1:
- Charging station. At least 6 m (20 ft) of free space with a clear view of the sky in front of it. The docking point, where the mower stops after leaving the station, needs an unimpeded sky view.
- Reference station. A clear sky view of at least 135 degrees. Mounted at least 2 m (6.5 ft) high. Less than 100 m (330 ft) from the mower; objects in between shorten this. On a post or wall, with its top above the wall. Away from metal such as fences.
What owners report
Husqvarna's article does not say how often these steps work. Owners' reports on the same stops, including cases where the steps above did not help, are on our page Automower EPOS stops on 'satellite search': what owners found.
Still stuck
The article ends with Husqvarna's Product Assistant and its contact page1, and says the full step-by-step installation guide for your model is the reference for placement. A dealer is the person who fits a Connect Kit or a reference station.
