Automower 'Connect is not available': the connectivity card is not found

Several owners of Automowers that have the Connect option wrote that, one day, the mower's display said Connect was not available and that the connectivity card could not be found, while the app showed the mower as disconnected. The display text is French; we give the English meaning.

From owners' reports in French, not from Husqvarna's own pages.

What to do next

  1. Look at the mower's own screen for an aerial symbol with a cross through it. A forum regular says that means Husqvarna's server is down, that pairing cannot be done until it is back, and that outages he has seen lasted up to three days; he now does nothing and waits, and suggests a hardware fault if it lasts more than a week. Do not delete the pairing in the meantime: two owners did and had to pair again.

    Stop and get help if

the mower stops mowing or shows other errors: that is no longer only a connection problem.

Applies when: the app says disconnected but the mower still mows.

Worked if: the connection comes back on its own, as it did for two owners within hours to days, or you know it has lasted long enough to treat as a fault.

Method: one forum regular's practice over four years, two owners whose connection came back in hours and in four days, and one owner who was still disconnected a week on

  2. Write down the exact messages on the display and in the hidden menu, and when they began. Owners quote 'Automower Connect is not available, contact your dealer to buy it' and 'connectivity card not found'. In three of the nine reports it began after a service or a main-board change, so tell the dealer if that is your case.

Applies when: the mower shows these messages and the app says it is disconnected, even when you stand next to it.

Worked if: the dealer has the facts and cannot treat the card as something that was never working.

Didn't work? Next: step 3 — Ask the dealer to connect the diagnostic tool and say whether...

Method: nine owners in one thread; three of them say it began after service or a board change; one owner whose shop refused to act after a service because the history showed card errors in 2024

  3. Ask the dealer to connect the diagnostic tool and say whether the connectivity card is listed. One owner's dealer ran the tool and the card was not even mentioned in the report. A new SIM card made no difference for that owner.

Applies when: the messages say the card cannot be found.

Worked if: you know whether the mower recognises the card at all.

Didn't work? Next: step 4 — If the card is not recognised, ask for the communication card to...

Method: one owner's dealer test and a two-euro SIM that did nothing; no other owner reports a tool reading

  4. If the card is not recognised, ask for the communication card to be replaced as the part. Say that a cloud problem cannot explain a card the mower does not see. One owner whose problem began after a main-board change was told it was a Husqvarna cloud problem that would fix itself; after he insisted, the installer obtained a communication card under warranty even though the mower was out of warranty, and everything worked again.

    Stop and get help if

many parts have been replaced without result: ask the dealer what Husqvarna's technical service has said (in the one such case it had no answer either).

    More about this step

Applies when: the card is not recognised, or it never worked after the board was replaced.

Worked if: a new communication card, and the mower connects.

Method: one owner cured by a replaced card; one owner for whom the card, display card, keypad, main board and cables were replaced with no result

  5. Only if you can safely open the mower, reseat the connectivity card and SIM. A forum regular suggests switching off and disconnecting the battery and the connectivity card, taking the SIM out, cleaning its contacts with a clean cloth, checking the SIM in a phone, waiting at least 10 minutes and reconnecting. He claims it works nine times in ten. No owner reports that it worked for them; one who only reseated the connectors saw no change.

    Stop and get help if

you are not sure the mower is off and the battery is disconnected: leave it to the dealer.

    More about this step

Applies when: the dealer cannot see the problem, or the mower is out of warranty and you are comfortable opening it.

Worked if: the card is recognised again, or you know a reseat is not enough.

Method: one forum regular's routine with no result reported; one owner who reseated the connectors without effect

For what Husqvarna's manuals say the connectivity and SIM card messages mean, see the fault and error message reference.

What the reports have in common

  • The messages. Owners quote, in French, that Automower Connect is not available and the dealer should be contacted to buy it, and that the connectivity card cannot be found. Some also see a connectivity problem and a GPS navigation problem1.
  • The models. A 450X (three owners), a 315X (two), a 330X, a 430X and a 315, with one owner's model not stated. Firmware and app versions are not given. One 315X owner says their mower never had a firmware update1.
  • How it began. For one owner it began overnight in October; for another on 29 June 2023. Three say it began after the mower came back from a service or a main-board replacement1.

What fixed it, and what did not

A replaced communication card: one owner, cured. A 450X owner's fault began after the main board was replaced because a charging circuit had fused. The mower no longer recognised the communication card. The installer said it was a Husqvarna cloud problem that would clear by itself. After the owner insisted that a cloud problem could not cause a hardware card to go unrecognised, the installer obtained a communication card under warranty, although the mower was out of warranty, and replaced it; "since the replacement everything works again"1.

A long list of parts replaced: one owner, not cured. A 450X owner's dealer, working with Husqvarna's technical service, replaced the Automower card, display card, keypad, main board, the cables between them and the on/off button. There was still no fix, and the technicians were "out of ideas"; the mower was in its last month of warranty1.

A dealer's diagnostic test and a new SIM: one owner, no effect. A 430X owner's dealer ran the Autocheck software; the Connect card was not even mentioned in its report. A two-euro SIM card made no difference. The owner wonders whether the card has failed or whether the mobile operator no longer serves the old network, and thinks of buying a new 4G card1. That is a question, not a finding; the thread contains no evidence about a network shutdown either way.

Reseating the connectors: one owner, no effect. A 450X owner opened the mower, disconnected and reconnected the Automower Connect card, and the fault stayed1.

A reseat-and-wait routine: one regular's advice, no result. A forum regular suggests disconnecting the Connect card and the battery, taking out the SIM, cleaning its contacts, optionally testing the SIM in a phone, waiting at least 10 minutes and reconnecting. He says it works nine times in ten and explains it as cleaning oxidised contacts and letting the electronics restart from cold. The 315 owner it was given to thanked him and said he would try; no result is posted1. We treat it as one person's practice, not as guidance.

Disconnected in the app, but the mower still mows

Not every disconnected mower has a failed card. Four owners in 2026 lost the connection while the mower carried on working, and a forum regular says many such cases are Husqvarna's server, not the mower.

  • A 450X owner, disconnected since about 29 April. The mower still mowed. Switching off and on, and removing and restoring the Connect option, did nothing; deleting the pairing and pairing again failed, and the mower would not even delete its own pairings. A regular wrote that he has seen several losses of connection in four years that came back by themselves, that a crossed-out aerial symbol on the mower's screen means the server is out and no pairing is possible, and that none of his outages lasted more than three days. The owner then found the crossed-out aerial on his own screen, concluded that all his attempts had been useless and had left him unpaired, and went away for ten days. No outcome is posted2.
  • A mower that would hardly connect, then did. After a clean and switch-off, one owner could barely reach the mower by Bluetooth, even standing next to it, and not at all by Wi-Fi. That evening it connected again at once by Wi-Fi. The owner thinks a Husqvarna server problem may have been behind it, though he found it odd that Bluetooth was affected too3.
  • A 430X NERA that lost its mobile connection on 24 April 2026 while Wi-Fi still worked, and found it back on 28 April without doing anything4.
  • A 430X after a phone-app update. The owner could no longer reach the mower by Bluetooth, the information screen read "com 0.00.00", and the mower also showed a GPS module error. A regular asked whether the crossed-out symbol was on the screen, which would mean the server, and said to wait5. The same owner's mower also missed its station; that part is on the page about docking and charging.

Two more owners whose Connect did not come back

A 450X owner on holiday found, from 27 June 2026, that the mower's screen showed no GPS icon or signal bars and said Connect was not available, with no Bluetooth either and the app saying disconnected. A SIM taken from the owner's alarm made no difference, and Husqvarna's reply to a support ticket was to see an approved dealer for a diagnosis. A second 450X owner, with a 2021 mower, says Connect has been dead since the start of the year along with regular sonar faults, with many dealer visits and no cause found; when the warranty ended in June, Husqvarna told the owner to take it up with the dealer2. These are owners' accounts of what Husqvarna said.

When none of that was it

  • A shop that would not act. A 315 owner's mower went in for winter service and came back with the same fault. The professional refused to look at the card because the Autocheck history showed errors on it in 2024, and said nothing proved it worked when the mower came in; the owner says it always worked1. The thread gives no outcome.
  • Unresolved. Five owners (the 450X owner who opened the thread, two 315X owners, a 330X owner and one whose model is not stated) post their case and the thread shows no later reply from them1.
  • No self-service route. One owner says that on most Automower models you cannot update the software yourself; he paid 99 euros for the update of his 330X, which he needed in order to fit a Connect card he already had, and advises avoiding updates that create more problems than they solve1. That is his experience, not a Husqvarna statement.

What's unknown

  • A single cause. The one cure is a replaced card; the failing set of parts and the unresolved cases show it is not always the card.
  • A link to service. Three owners say it began after a service or board change. The thread does not show whether the work caused it or the mower was already failing.
  • The price of a card. One owner writes that a card change costs 400 euros, as he had read; the thread does not source it1.
  • How common it is. These are the owners who posted in one thread, not a count of mowers.
