Husqvarna names its messages; it does not number them. Each shows what the mower's display shows: a name such as "Trapped" or "No loop signal", then the cause and the action. It may show the name in your own language; we give the manual's English.
305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II: what stops the mower
From the 305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II manual (2023), fault messages, pages 37 to 41. This manual says these messages are shown in the display of the product1.
| Message | Cause, per the manual | What Husqvarna says to do |
|---|---|---|
| No loop signal | Nine causes are listed: the power supply or low-voltage cable is not connected, or is damaged; the boundary wire is not connected to the station, or is broken; ECO mode is on and the product started outside the station; the wire is crossed on its way to and from an island; the pairing between the product and the station is lost; metal objects or buried cables close by; the product is too far from the wire | If the station's lamp is not lit there is no power: check the outlet, the residual-current device and the low-voltage cable. Check the wire connectors and replace any damaged one; replace a broken section with new wire and an original coupler; put the product in the station, start it and close the hatch; lay the wire as instructed around an island; create a new loop signal; move the wire or make islands; redo the installation so that every part of the work area is within 35 m / 115 ft of the wire1 |
| Connection NOT changed | The change of loop signal failed | Try to create a new loop signal several times; if it stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Wheel motor blocked; Wheel motor overloaded; Wheel drive problem (left or right) | Grass or an object is wrapped around the drive wheel. The manual prints one cause and one action against all three messages | Clean the wheels and around the wheels1 |
| Cutting system blocked | Three causes. The first is printed as grass or an object wrapped around the drive wheel, the same words as the wheel rows above; the others are the blade disc lying in a pool of water, and grass that is too high | The first action is the wheel row's. Move the product and stop water collecting in the work area. Cut the grass before you install the product, to a maximum of 10 cm / 3.9 in1 |
| Cutting system imbalance | Too few or too many blades | Check the blades on the blade disc1 |
| Outside working area | Six causes: the wire connections at the station are crossed; the wire is too close to the edge of the work area; the work area slopes too much by the loop; the wire is laid the wrong way round an island; metal objects or buried cables close by; the signal is hard to tell from another installation close by | Check the wire is connected correctly and laid as the instructions say; try moving the wire; put the product in the station and create a new loop signal1 |
| No drive; Slipped | The product is caught in something and slipping; the work area includes a steep slope; the guide wire is not laid diagonally in a slope. The manual prints the two names against the same rows | Free the product, and wait for wet grass to dry; isolate steep slopes; lay the guide wire diagonally across the slope1 |
| Collision sensor problem, front or rear | The drive wheels on the product are blocked | Free the product and correct the cause; if the problem stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Charging station blocked | Poor contact between the charging plates and the station's contact plates after several tries; an object in the way; the station is tilted or bent; the guide wire is not installed correctly | Check the plates make good contact; remove the object; put the baseplate on level ground; check the guide wire against the instructions1 |
| Stuck in charging station | An object in the way stops the product leaving | Remove the object1 |
| Trapped | The product is stuck in a small area behind a number of obstacles | Look for obstacles that make it hard to move on, and remove them or make an island around them1 |
| Slope too steep | The product stopped because the slope is too steep | Change the wire installation so the work area leaves out the steep part1 |
| Difficult finding home | The product followed the boundary wire for several laps without finding the station | Examine the corridor width setting for the boundary wire1 |
305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II: battery and charging
Pages 38 to 41 of the same manual1.
| Message | Cause, per the manual | What Husqvarna says to do |
|---|---|---|
| Empty battery | Four causes: the product cannot find the station; the battery is spent; the station's antenna is damaged; the charging plates or contact plates are corroded | Change the position of the guide wire; replace the battery; check whether the station's lamp flashes red; clean the charging and contact plates with a fine emery cloth, and if it stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Low battery (listed with the information messages, page 41) | The same four causes, the second as the battery being at the end of its life cycle and the plates as damaged because of corrosion | The same first three actions; for the plates, clean the charging plates and contact plates, and if it stays speak to your Husqvarna service1 |
| Battery problem | A temporary battery or firmware issue; or the wrong type of battery | Restart the product, and if it stays speak to your authorized service technician; use the original batteries the manufacturer recommends1 |
| Battery temperature outside limits | The battery is too hot or too cold to start | No action: the product starts when the temperature is within limits1 |
| Charging system problem | Corrosion or dirt on the charging plates and contact plates; or a temporary electronic or firmware problem | Restart the product and clean the charging plates on the product and the contact plates on the station; or restart, and if it stays speak to your approved servicing dealer1 |
| Charging current too high | A wrong or faulty power supply unit | Restart the product; if it stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Needs manual charging | The product is set to the Secondary area operating mode | Put the product in the charging station1 |
305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II: lift, tilt, alarms and the rest
Pages 39 to 411.
| Message | Cause, per the manual | What Husqvarna says to do |
|---|---|---|
| Lifted | The lift sensor was activated because the product was lifted | Check that the body moves freely around its chassis; remove, or make an island around, objects that can lift the chassis; if it stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Mower tilted | Tilted more than the maximum angle | Move the product to a flat area1 |
| Upside down | Leaning too much, or turned over | Turn it the right way up1 |
| Alarm! Mower switched off; stopped; lifted; tilted; was moved | The alarm was activated because the product was switched off, stopped, lifted or tilted, or (for Mower was moved) was lifted, one row for each | Adjust the security level in the Security menu1 |
| Wrong PIN code | A wrong code was entered; five tries are allowed, then the keypad is blocked for a period | Enter the right code; if you do not have it, use the link in the app to send the PIN code to your registered e-mail address; if you have not registered one, contact your local Husqvarna representative1 |
| Next start hh:mm | The schedule stops the product operating; it has reached its maximum cutting time for the day (normal); or its clock or date is wrong | Change the schedule; no action; set the time and date1 |
| Today's mowing completed | It has reached its maximum cutting time for the day | Normal, no action needed1 |
| Electronic problem; Loop sensor problem, front or rear; Tilt sensor problem; Temporary problem; Invalid sub-device combination; Temporary battery problem; Safety function faulty | The manual prints one cause and one action against all seven: a temporary electronic or firmware issue | Restart the product; if the problem stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Zone generator problem; FlexiFence problem | The FlexiFence accessory's battery is low, so it does not work and the product can cut in the stay-out zone if started before the accessory is charged; or the accessory is hotter than its maximum limit and has switched itself off | Park the product and charge the accessory before you start it; put the product in a place protected from the sun and let the accessory cool1 |
| Connectivity problem | A potential problem on the connectivity circuit board | Restart the product; if it stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
| Connectivity settings restored | The settings were restored because of a fault | Check the settings and change them if needed1 |
| Poor signal quality | The connectivity board is assembled upside down, or the product is tilted or upside down | Make sure the product is not upside down or tilted; if it stays, speak to your authorized service technician1 |
305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II: information messages and the station lamp
The manual's section 7.3, Information messages, and the lamp table, on pages 41 and 421. Low battery, the first message in that table, is above with the battery messages.
| Message or lamp | Cause, per the manual | What Husqvarna says to do |
|---|---|---|
| Settings restored | A Reset all user settings was done | Usual operation |
| Guide 1 not found | The guide wire is not connected to the station; the guide wire is damaged; or it is not connected to the boundary loop | Connect the guide wire to the station; replace the damaged section; connect it correctly to the boundary loop |
| Guide calibration failed | The product could not calibrate the guide wire because of an error | Install the guide wire correctly |
| Guide calibration done; Connection changed | The guide wire was calibrated; the loop signal was changed | Usual operation |
| Lamp: green, solid | Good signals | Usual operation |
| Lamp: green, flashing | Good signals and ECO mode is on | Usual operation |
| Lamp: blue, flashing | The boundary wire is not connected to the station, or is damaged | Check the wire is installed correctly in the station; find the damage and replace that section |
| Lamp: red, flashing | Interference in the station's antenna | Speak to Husqvarna customer service |
| Lamp: red, solid | An error in the circuit board, or the wrong power supply, in the station. The manual says an authorized service technician must correct it | Speak to Husqvarna customer service |
305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II: symptoms with no message
Pages 43 and 44 list problems the product shows without a message1.
| Symptom | Cause, per the manual | What Husqvarna says to do |
|---|---|---|
| Difficulty docking | The guide wire is not laid in a long straight line far enough out from the station; it is not in the slot under the station; the station is not on a level surface | Check the station was installed as instructed; put the guide wire in the correct position below the station; place the station on a surface that is entirely level |
| Runs at the wrong time | The clock or date is wrong; the start and stop times are wrong | Set the clock and date; change the schedule |
| Vibrates | Damaged blades; too many blades in one position; blades of different versions (thickness) | Inspect the blades and screws and replace them if necessary; check one blade at each screw; check whether the blades are of different versions |
| Runs but the blade disc does not turn | The product is searching for the station, or reversing out of it | No action: the blade disc does not turn while it searches for the station |
| Mows for shorter periods than usual between charges | Grass or a foreign object blocking the blade disc; the battery is spent; dull blades | Remove and clean the blade disc; replace the battery; replace the blades |
| Mowing and charging times are both shorter than usual | The battery is spent | Replace the battery |
| Parked for hours in the station | It has reached the maximum cutting time for the day; the hatch is closed but START was not pushed; Parking mode is on; the battery is too hot or too cold to operate | No action; press STOP to open the hatch, enter the PIN, push START and close the hatch; change the operating mode; check the station is in a place protected from the sun |
| Uneven mowing | Too few hours a day; the work area's shape needs the Lawn coverage function to reach remote areas; the How often? setting is wrong for the layout; the work area is too large; dull blades; long grass for the cutting height; grass collected by the blade disc or around the motor shaft | Increase the mowing time; steer the product to a remote area; check the How often? value; limit the work area or extend the schedule; replace all the blades; raise the cutting height and then lower it step by step; check the blade disc turns freely and, if not, take it off and remove grass and foreign objects |
| False collisions: the product detects collisions, reverses and turns where there is no obstacle | Terrain wheels are installed but the Terrain Kit setting is not enabled; the manual says a special setting compensates for the extra weight | Enable the Terrain Kit setting |
What the tables do not tell you
They say what Husqvarna tells owners to do. They say nothing about how often a message appears or whether the action works. The owner-report pages in the fault and error message reference are for that. A message name that is not on this page may still be in your manual.
Nothing here matches your symptom?
A fault that isn't listed here doesn't mean nothing is wrong with your mower. The manufacturer's own manual is linked from this page, and the guides for this brand are listed on its overview.

If your code isn't here
-
Find the message the mower shows in the tables on this page. Read the manual's cause and action for it. Many messages list more than one cause: read them all before you act.
More about this step
Applies when: the app or the mower shows a message.
Worked if: you have Husqvarna's own action for that message, not a forum guess at what it means.
Didn't work? Next: step 2 — Look at the lamp on the charging station. A wire model should...
Method: the fault and information message tables in Husqvarna's 305, 310 Mark II and 315 Mark II operator's manual, read row by row for this page
-
Look at the lamp on the charging station. A wire model should show solid or flashing green. A flashing blue lamp is the manual's sign that the boundary wire is not connected to the station or is damaged; a flashing red lamp, a problem with the station's antenna; a solid red lamp, an error in the circuit board or the power supply.
More about this step
Applies when: the message is about the loop signal, the charging station or leaving or finding it, or the mower stops with no message you can match.
Worked if: you know whether the problem is the station and its wire rather than the mower.
Didn't work? Next: step 3 — Open the owner-report page for your message. Find it from the...
Method: the charging-station lamp table in the manual
-
Open the owner-report page for your message. Find it from the table on the fault and error message reference, to see what other owners found and how many of them found it.
More about this step
Applies when: the manual's action did not fix it, or your message is in that table.
Worked if: you have what owners actually did about it, beside what the manual says.
Didn't work? Next: step 4 — Speak to your Husqvarna representative or approved servicing...
Method: the owner-report pages named in that table; what they hold is stated on each
-
Speak to your Husqvarna representative or approved servicing dealer. Do this if the same message keeps coming back, as the manual says.
Stop and get help if
the station lamp is solid red: the manual says an authorised service technician must correct that, so leave the station alone.
More about this step
Applies when: the message comes back after you have followed the manual's action.
Worked if: someone with the diagnostic tool reads the mower, or you know the dealer's terms.
Method: the manual's own wording on repeated messages
